As one of State level technology innovation project and the first Chinese manufacturer of I+G, Star Lake Bioengineering Base Nucleotide Factory was founded in 1999. It is a significant achievement for Star Lake Bioscience to have its own intellectual property in research and developing of superior food additives. Production technology of I+G was awarded the Second-Class Prize of National Science and Technology Advancement in 2004. Products manufacturing in the Nucleotide Factory are considered as national keystone new products, which have brought an end to the monopolization of foreign manufacturers in Chinese market. The project of capacity expansion and technology improvement is included in Top 500 Projects of Modern Industry System in Guangdong Province. After expansion, the Nucleotide Factory became an individual factory with the largest capacity all over the world. Star Lake Brand nucleotide products were granted the Chinese Famous Brand.
